What is WHIZCargo?
WHIZCargo is the freight-management platform from WHIZTEC. It is a single system that handles the full freight lifecycle — inquiry, quotation, booking, documentation, EDI, customs, billing and operational workflows — for freight forwarders, NVOCC and LCL consolidators, liner agencies, ground handling agents, ship agents, feeder operators, courier and D2D operators, project-cargo specialists, exhibition forwarders, warehouse operators and customs brokers. 25 modules, deployed since 2002.
Is WHIZCargo suitable for ground handling agents (GHA)?
Yes. WHIZCargo includes a dedicated GHA module covering airline cargo acceptance, ULD management, weight & balance, dangerous goods handling, ground handling billing and the Valuable Cargo Handling System (VCHS) for high-value shipments. The module is in production at multiple cargo terminals.
Does WHIZCargo support Liner Agency operations?
Yes. The Liner Agency module runs the full agency operation — B/L issuance, manifest preparation, CRO management, sailing schedules, vessel coordination, port billing, principal reporting and EDI messaging to principals (UN/EDIFACT, ANSI X12). In production with liner agents across the Gulf, India and South-East Asia since 2015.
Does WHIZCargo support NVOCC and LCL consolidators?
Yes. WHIZCargo provides full NVOCC functionality including HBL/MBL management, container tracking, consolidation, deconsolidation, carrier booking, manifesting, EDI to carriers and shippers, revenue accounting and CFS (Container Freight Station) operations. LCL consolidators handle multi-shipper groupage and break-bulk in the same workflow.
Is WHIZCargo suitable for feeder operators?
Yes. The Feeder Operations module covers intra-regional feeder services — slot allocations from deep-sea principals, sailing schedules, container booking, manifesting, port-to-port coordination, EDI reconciliation with principals and revenue accounting. Field staff use the WHIZCargo mobile app to track container moves in real time.
Does WHIZCargo cover warehouse management (WMS)?
Yes. The Warehouse module handles inbound (ASN/GRN), put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, cycle counting, kitting, value-added services and multi-customer billing for 3PL operations. Floor operators use a barcode/RFID-enabled mobile app that works offline in low-connectivity warehouses. Natively integrated with the freight forwarding and customs modules.
Can WHIZCargo handle e-commerce logistics?
Yes. The e-commerce logistics workflow covers order import from Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Amazon Seller Central; multi-warehouse fulfilment routing; last-mile orchestration; returns management; and marketplace fee reconciliation. End customers track orders via a branded customer portal, and the last-mile driver app handles routing, scan-and-deliver and POD capture.
Does WHIZCargo handle Project Cargo and Heavy Lift?
Yes. The Project Cargo module manages OOG (out-of-gauge) and break-bulk planning, route surveys, multi-leg transport sequencing (sea + road + rail + air), heavy-lift equipment costing and stakeholder coordination. Project managers track milestones live across all legs and the operations team captures field updates from the project mobile app.
What about exhibition and event logistics?
Yes. Exhibition Cargo is a dedicated module for trade-show and event freight — temporary import handling, ATA Carnet workflow, on-site coordination at exhibition venues, post-event re-export and customs reconciliation. Used by global exhibition forwarders for trade fairs across the GCC, Europe and Asia.
Is there a mobile app for door-to-door (D2D) customers to book and track shipments?
Yes. The D2D Courier module includes a customer-facing mobile app — customers book pickups, get live tracking, receive push notifications and e-sign PODs — plus a driver app with route optimisation, scan-and-deliver, photo capture and real-time GPS. Both apps are available on iOS and Android, white-labelled to the operator brand.
What other mobile apps does WHIZCargo provide?
WHIZCargo includes purpose-built mobile apps for warehouse pickers, ground handling agents, feeder operations, last-mile drivers, project-cargo field teams and D2D customers. Each app is optimised for its workflow (barcode/RFID scanning, photo capture, signature capture, GPS, offline mode) and is available on iOS and Android.
How does WHIZCargo integrate with our existing ERP?
WHIZCargo natively integrates with SAP via IDoc, Oracle/Infor/Dynamics via OAGIS BOD, and any other system via REST APIs, webhooks, UN/EDIFACT, ANSI X12, CSV/XLSX or FTP/SFTP. For port-side EDI we support CUSCAR/CUSDEC, COPRAR, COARRI and BAPLIE.
How long does WHIZCargo take to implement?
Typical mid-market deployments go live within 8–16 weeks. The architecture is configuration-driven — workflows, fields, approval rules, billing matrices and carrier integrations are configured rather than custom-coded. Enterprise rollouts with multiple branches or country-specific compliance can run longer in phases.
Is WHIZCargo cloud-hosted or on-premise?
Both. WHIZCargo runs as a single-tenant cloud deployment for most customers (we host, you operate) and is also offered as a self-hosted option for enterprises with strict data-sovereignty or regulatory requirements.
